LARPOCRACY was represented at ISAGA 2026 (International Simulation and Gaming Association Conference) by Sarah Lynne Bowman, who presented The Assembly: Designing a Role-playing Intervention to Foster Skills in Democratic Deliberation. Co-authored by PerOla Öberg, Kjell Hedgard Hugaas, and Josephine Rydberg, the paper explores how live-action role-playing can foster skills such as active listening, respectful dialogue, and openness to different perspectives. The paper was recognised with the Best Paper Award – Runner Up, highlighting the contribution of LARPOCRACY research to the fields of simulation, role-playing, and democratic innovation.
