Two Larpocracy Workshops Run at the ENLIGHT Teaching & Learning Conference!

This year, Larpocracy members Sarah Lynne Bowman and Weronika Szatkowska ran two workshops on designing democracy at the ENLIGHT Teaching & Learning Conference in Uppsala, Sweden.

This year, the conference highly appropriate for our project: Playfulness for the Future of Higher Education. The longer-form workshop was hosted for student winners of the ENLIGHT Sustainability & ENLIGHT Diversity & Inclusion Awards.

A shorter-workshop was held for the conference at large, which included educators from 10 EU universities in the ENLIGHT network. The workshops focused on identifying and discussing personal associations with democracy, as well as designing short scenarios focused on practicing a democratic activity through larp.

From our perspective, the participants were highly engaged and seemed to appreciate the more personal and creative approach to tackling democratic themes.
