Spring seminar, co-organised by Larpocracy

Last week, the 22nd annual Tampere Game Research Lab Spring Seminar took place. This year's theme was Events and Communities, and the event was co-organised by Larpocracy.

The spring seminar always features works in progress, and this year was no different. There were sessions on designing and transforming communities; histories of role-playing events; gender, desire, and boundaries, among others. Larpocracy-affiliated researcher presented on "Centring the Convention in Role-Playing History" and "Who Cares? Larp Festivals as Playful Counterpublics and Democratic Intimacies". The event brought together researchers from different parts of game studies and beyond.
